Don't try to wake me in the morning

Friday, March 28, 2014

I wore this outfit on Sunday for a blogger event but I never made it there. The bus that my sis and I were going to take didn't show up so we thought that anything else would just make the ride longer and we would spend the majority of the day on the road. Because of this we decided not to go so we stopped by the cemetery to take some outfit photos. I didn't want our free time to go to waste and we did spend some time getting ready so it was the perfect opportunity. My style differs from day to day so I can never say that I belong to a certain category. This day it was pretty badass.

Some of these clothes are pretty old (jacket, pants, tee). I've probably gotten them ages ago but I did just get creepers and I'm loving them. They are dupes but I think they look pretty good. These are probably not as comfortable as the real ones but they are fine and I've been wearing them pretty much everday since I got them. I'm actually going to stop for a while as they are getting old pretty fast and I wouldn't want that to happen. Another thing that's new is the plaid shirt around my waist. I got that on sale in January and it has been a favorite ever since. It has amazing quality and its material is thicker than normal so it's perfect for autumn, winter, spring but not so much for summer. My glasses will do the trick for the summer season though. They are new as well, my sis got them as a present for me (again). Oh la la! She also got me the world watch recently. I HAVE BEEN SPOILED. Just Kidding. But isn't this watch amazing and it was so cheap! The only problem with it is that it's pretty loud compared to other watches but who cares, it's very cute and vintage! Oh and I'm wearing my seahorse necklace from Sugar & Vice again. You can tell that it really is my favorite necklace.

LUSH Bubblegum Lipscrub & Each Peach Massage Bar Review

Saturday, March 22, 2014

I realized that since I'm pretty versatile with my blog content I should also post more often about beauty & skincare products. I have been reading reviews on blogs to get info about a product that I'm going to buy and it really helps me out. I also love hearing the negative parts of the product if there is any and I believe that being honest with these things is the best (amongst other things... since we should always be honest about everything lol). Also I do take into consideration that things will work differently on different people so no review would effect me 100%. Here we go!
I've read reviews of this on a couple of blogs and it was always very intriguing. When my sister bought this for new years I was thrilled. I now had the opportunity to see if those reviews had truth in them and they sure did on some points! First of all this thing does not work magic on my lips but it does make it look & feel smooth. When I used it for the first time I was very impressed because my lips felt amazing and the effects lasted long but later on it felt pretty normal. I actually have very dry lips and I'm a biter so using this product was heaven for me but I wish I knew what I did the first time so I could do it again because now it doesn't get as smooth and the effects don't last as long. Secondly, it tastes so good. It says that you could either wash it off or lick it off and I do tend to go for the latter choice. It's very yummy indeed and has no harm! And lastly, it is very easy to apply and totally organic. Overall I give it 8/10.
I've never read a review about this and never heard of it until my sister got it for new years but this product should get all the recognition it deserves. My sister and I are absolutely in love with this thing and we can not stop using it. I actually thought it was soap when I first saw it but of course that's just me being silly. It's a massage bar that moisturizes your skin and also makes it smell amazing. I think its smell is one of the things that made us fall in love. I actually have some on my hands now and it's pretty strong and lovely. I've only used this on my hands but I guess you can use it for wherever. It gets oily when using it as it gets dry in its box but don't worry the box is for to keep it dry when it gets pretty hot. Also it does refreshen the skin where it's applied and makes it pretty comfortable. Overall I give it 10/10.

Movies, Movies, Movies!

Friday, March 14, 2014

It's time to talk movies! I watched a few movies this month and these made the cut. There were 1 or 2 movies that I thought were just a waste of my time and I don't even want to talk about them. No need really. Anyways hope you like this months reviews and maybe you'd like to watch them if you haven't already! :)

Moulin Rouge: Sometimes I don't know why I take so much time getting to watch a good movie. This I should have watched a long time ago. I mean I love musicals and love stories, it's my thing so this was jackpot. Also Ewan McGregor (hello again lol) is in it and who knew he could sing and could do it very well? I sure didn't (same with Kidman). Nicole Kidman won a Golden Globe for this role and she deserved it even though I didn't like a few of her scenes. I found usage of modern songs very clever in a movie set in the 1900s. Also, the costumes were extraordinary, especially the ones Satine (Kidman) wore.

Big Fish: I had heard of this movie when it came out and I don't know why I didn't watch it in the movies. Tim Burton is so good at his job and always has the audience where he wants it. I was crying so hard at the end of this movie so this one is a special one for me. It did leave me wanting for more and it was a feast to the eye visually. Some scenes were goofy, some were romantic and some were sad. Everything you need in a fantastic story that is told very uniquely.

Hobbit An Unexpected Journey: The second movie is out for this and I took a long time to watch the first. I guess a movie being too long scares me at first but once I give up on those 3 hours than I can truly enjoy it. Hobbit was definitely and adventure and I'm so glad I went along. Unlike LOTR it had it's moments that made me laugh and really cleared out the air on some of the things I was always wondering about the LOTR (as someone who hasn't read the books). It was nice seeing the origins of such a strong series that come after it.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty: This is Ben Stiller at his best. He should always make movies like this. Him directing this is also amazing because it's stunning. The story is about Walter Mitty (Ben Stiller) who is a constant dreamer. He escapes from his world by day dreaming of romance, action and him doing heroic things. Then he decides to go on an adventure when he is at risk of losing his job and this adventure is much more extraordinary than any dream he ever had. I think a lot of us could relate to Walter Mitty and that we are dreamers but there comes a point where reality is better than our dreams. Not a lot of us have accomplished that yet. I know I haven't.

Foggy Istanbul, 19.02.2014

Monday, March 10, 2014

I really love foggy photos, they seem eerie and interesting and when Istanbul was covered with fog I knew I had to go out and take a couple of shots of my neighborhood. Usually where I live isn't really interesting so the fog gave it a different but interesting image. I had actually taken a bunch of other photos with my film camera but they didn't come out when I picked up my film from the photographer. Either they were too dark or they didn't do a good job developing them, I don't know. I hope I get another shot at it soon but I doubt it'll happen. It's pretty rainy and cold here, I really want Spring

P.S. I will announce the giveaway winner soon, so keep your eyes on here or your email lol.
